Meet Thomas “T-Bone” Edward

Survivor of Sexual Abuse & Founder of Healing Broken Men

Pronouns: he/him/his

Thomas “T-Bone” Edward is the founder of Healing Broken Men and Safe Place for Men.  He has focused on male sexual trauma for the past 23 years.  Leaving the Microsoft tech executive development training world, he now coaches male survivors as they work through a myriad of complex post-traumatic stress disorder challenges.  Via coaching, workshops, retreats, his books and speaking engagements he motivates and encourages survivors to release the past, embrace the future and get love and connection. He’s served as a board of directors for the national 1in6 organization.  He suffered the kind of trauma from which many people do not ever emerge. As a male survivor himself, he understands the various challenges confronting men who have unwanted or abusive sexual experiences. “Success for me is liberating other men and their families from the grips of the trauma and building my new family.”

Thomas received his BA degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (Spanish, Chinese and Indonesian) from Northern Illinois University. He’s currently working on his master’s in psychology to better understand how early childhood sexual trauma stunts developmental growth stages that affect adults years later.
